Positive cases of the corona virus (Covid-19) in Indonesia increased by 12,818 people, Friday (15/1). Thus the accumulative number of positive confirmations for Covid-19 in Indonesia since March 2020 has reached 882,418 people.
Of the accumulative number, 718,696 people recovered (increased by 7,491) and 25,484 others died (increased by 238).
The daily additions to these positive cases are a new record. The previous record occurred on January 14 with 11,557 people.
The government itself has tried to suppress the spread of the corona virus by implementing the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) from January 11 to January 25, 2021 in a number of areas in Java-Bali.
A number of restrictions are made from operating hours of public places to 75 percent of Work From Home.
In addition, the Covid-19 vaccination process has also begun with the first injection of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on January 13, 2021.
Jokowi was injected with a vaccine from China, Sinovac, which has received an emergency use permit (EUA) from the Indonesian Food and Drug Administration (BPOM). BPOM states that the Sinovac vaccine has an efficacy of 65.3 percent.
Vaccination is continued for health workers in a number of areas starting January 14, 2021.
