PT Kereta Api Indonesia Daop I has released the latest regulations for passengers aged 6-8 years. They also urge parents or those responsible for the child’s passengers to pay attention to the following requirement.
Head of Public Relations Daop I Jakarta Eva Chairunisa explained the applicable travel requirements following the Circular Letter (SE) of the Ministry of Transportation No.39/2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Rail Transportation During the Covid-19 Pandemic Period, April 4, 2022.
“For passenger children aged 6-18 years, they will follow the regulations for adult passengers. If the second vaccine is available, it must show a negative result for the 1×24 hour antigen test or the 3×24 hour RT-PCR test,” She said in an official statement, Wednesday (13/4/2022).
Meanwhile, passenger children aged 6 years -18 years have only been vaccinated once, then they must show a negative result of the 3×24 hour PCR test.
The obligation to show evidence of PCR 3×24 hours also applies to those who have not been vaccinated for medical reasons, but the file must be accompanied by the completeness of a doctor’s certificate from a government hospital.
Furthermore, passenger children under 6 years old are not required to be vaccinated and are not required to show proof of negative screening for the Covid-19 test, but must have a companion who meets travel requirements.
Customers who do not complete the requirements are not allowed to leave and are welcome to cancel their tickets.
To help complete the requirements for train travel, especially antigen testing, the Daop 1 Jakarta area still provides Rapid Test Antigen services for Rp. 35,000 with a list of service provider stations as follows:
- Gambir Station at 06.00 – 22.00 WIB
- Pasarsenen Station at 05.00 – 22.30 WIB
- Bekasi Station at 08.00 – 18.00 WIB
- Cikarang Station at 08.00 – 18.00 WIB
- Karawang Station at 08.30 – 18.30 WIB
- Cikampek Station at 07.00 – 13.00 WIB and 16.30 – 22.30 WIB.
Furthermore, Daop 1 Jakarta appealed to prospective service users to pay attention to the requirements before ordering tickets and to check before going through the ticket inspection process.
