Asia’s beaches continue to capture the attention of travelers around the world. Year after year, destinations across the region dominate travel wish lists with their white sand, clear blue water, tropical scenery, and dramatic coastlines. And in Tripadvisor’s latest ranking of the best beaches in Asia 2026., Indonesia once again secured two spots through Bali.

At the top of the list this year is Banana Beach in Thailand. Located on Koh Hey near Phuket, the beach is famous for its clean white sand and crystal-clear water. It only takes around 15 minutes by boat from Phuket to reach the area. Snorkeling remains one of the main attractions there, although visitors can also enjoy diving and parasailing. The best time to visit is between November and April, when the sea is calmer.

Indonesia followed closely behind through Kelingking Beach in Nusa Penida, Bali, which ranked second. The beach has become internationally known for its cliff formation that resembles the spine of a giant dinosaur when viewed from above. Beyond the iconic viewpoint, Kelingking also offers soft white sand and turquoise water. Around the area often called the “Dinosaur Backbone,” tourists can find restaurants serving local dishes such as fresh seafood and shrimp fried rice with crispy prawn crackers.

Third place went to Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island in India. Tripadvisor described the beach as peaceful and naturally beautiful, with soft white sand and clear turquoise water. The beach is popular for swimming, sunbathing, and sunset views.

“Surrounded by lush green trees, Radhanagar Beach is so peaceful that it feels like a private beach,” Tripadvisor wrote.

Another beach from India entered the ranking through Palolem Beach in South Goa, which placed fourth. The atmosphere there is calm and relaxed, with shallow water, rows of palm trees, and soft white sand. Travelers often take boat rides to spot dolphins nearby. At night, the beach transforms with its famous silent disco parties, where visitors dance under the night sky while wearing headphones.

Sri Lanka secured two places on the list. Mirissa Beach ranked fifth with its golden sand, tropical atmosphere, surfing spots, and relaxed nightlife scene. Between October and May, the area is also considered one of the best whale-watching destinations. Snorkeling and sea turtle sightings are popular activities there as well.

Bentota Beach followed in seventh place. Located on Sri Lanka’s southwestern coast, the beach is known for its quieter atmosphere. Palm trees line the shore, while the calmer waters attract visitors looking to relax or try activities such as jet skiing and windsurfing. Travelers can also explore the nearby Bentota Ganga river.

The Philippines entered the ranking through White Beach on Boracay Island, which took sixth place. The beach stretches for around four kilometers with bright white sand and clear blue water. Visitors can enjoy water sports, beachfront restaurants, and lively nightlife. The area is divided into three main sections, ranging from luxury resorts to more affordable accommodations.

Thailand appeared again through Railay Beach in Krabi Province, ranked eighth. The beach is surrounded by towering karst cliffs, giving it a secluded atmosphere. Since there are no roads leading into the area, visitors can only reach Railay by long-tail boat. Besides its emerald-green water and white sand, the area is also considered one of the world’s top rock climbing spots. Without traffic or motor vehicles, the beach feels quiet and isolated, almost like a private island.

Indonesia returned to the list with Nusa Dua Beach in Bali at number nine. The beach is known for its clean coastline, white sand, and shallow turquoise water that is suitable for families. Coral reefs surrounding the area help keep the waves relatively calm. Nusa Dua is also home to many luxury five-star resorts, giving the area a polished and comfortable atmosphere for tourists.

The final spot in the top 10 went to Cenang Beach on Langkawi Island in Malaysia. The beach is famous for its long stretch of white sand, clear water, and lively environment. Water sports, duty-free shopping, and nightlife continue to attract travelers throughout the year.

Tripadvisor explained that the ranking of the best beaches in Asia 2026. reflects the real experiences of global travelers. The goal is to help tourists discover standout destinations and plan memorable trips across Asia.
