Bojonegoro Regency, which is located in East Java Province, has abundant natural wealth. Huge oil and gas reserves are available there. Especially now, Bojonegoro still has an oil and gas field that will still be fully operational.

Several oil and gas fields are there, such as Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB) which is managed by Pertamina EP Cepu (Pepc).

The Head of the UPP for the Jambaran Tiung Biru SKK Migas Project, Waras Budi Santosa, explained that Bojonegoro Regency is a district that is rich in upstream oil and gas products and activities, which contribute to the local government.

“From Banyu Urip and the Mudi area around here, which are small, the most significant is that the contribution of upstream oil and gas to Regional Original Revenue (PAD) here is based on the APBD, perhaps the richest in Indonesia,” said Waras in Jambaran Tiung Biru, quoted on Thursday (27/27). /10/2022).

He explained that the JTB project is projected to be fully operational in December 2022, with a production capacity of 192 MMSCFD. 172 MMSCFD already has a purchase contract with PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN).

However, there are still 20 MMSCFD that do not have a purchase contract, although, according to Waras, the remaining gas may be absorbed into the Gresik Petrochemical industry.

Waras explained that gas production from JTB can still produce at total capacity or a plateau of 192 MMSCFD until 2035. “So it is still very significant, it is still attractive for investors to buy this gas. Hopefully, industrial areas will grow to absorb this gas,” he said.

General Manager of Gas Jambaran Tiung Biru Pertamina EP Cepu (Pepc) Ruby Mulyawan explained that the gas production in JTB reached 315 – 330 MMSCFD, but still needed cleaning because it contained many unwanted components. To produce salable gas 192. MMSCFD.

There are six well pad points in Jambaran East and Jambaran Central, where each well produces an average of 60 MMSCFD.

Not only gas, but the JTB project also produces 2,892 BPD of condensate which will be channeled through the Banyu Urip Central Processing Facility managed by ExxonMobil Cepu. Later, it will be sold together with crude oil from Banyu Urip.

“This is great, the reservoir is huge, then there is a synergy collaboration with Exxon Mobil for the condensate produced, which will be sent to Exxon Mobil,” he explained.
