The mobile internet market in Indonesia continues to exhibit robust growth in the first half of 2024, solidifying Indonesia’s role as a significant player in the Asia-Pacific digital economy. This progress is attributed to the Indonesian government’s digitalization initiatives, including the Digital Indonesia Roadmap 2021-2024 and the ongoing expansion of 4G networks by cellular operators.

Although 5G is still in its nascent stages, it has generated considerable interest among both consumers and providers.

Ookla’s report highlights Telkomsel as the leading mobile operator in Indonesia, noted for offering the fastest overall speeds and the best mobile gaming experience.
