The Vanuatu country in the Pacific region recorded the first case of corona virus infection (Covid-19).
According to the Associated Press report, Wednesday (11/11), the patient was a local resident who had just returned from the United States.
The Vanuatu Health Authority said the patient was a 23-year-old man. He did not show any symptoms when he returned home on November 4.
He was only found positive after undergoing an examination on Tuesday (10/11) yesterday.
Currently the patient is undergoing quarantine.
According to the local government, they will place all passengers on the plane with the patient in quarantine.
However, they have not implemented a broader restriction policy in this country of 300 thousand inhabitants.
