TransJakarta adjusts its fleet operating hours during the Christmas and New Year holidays. TransJakarta will start operating for the public from 05.00-20.00 WIB while for health services from 21.00-23.00 WIB.

These operating hours follow the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) Governor’s (Pemprov) Instruction Number 64 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Community Activities in Prevention of COVID-19 on the Holidays of Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021. TransJakarta Operations Director, Prasetia Budi, said this policy will start valid from 18 December to 8 January 2020.

“Starting today, Transjakarta will serve customers from 05.00 – 20.00 WIB. This applies to all of our regular services both BRT, Non BRT and Mikrotrans,” Prasetia said in his statement, Thursday (17/12/2020).

Prasetia said changes are also happening for health services. He said that health services by TransJakarta will be extended from the initial 22.00-23.00 WIB to 21.00-23.00 WIB.

“The purpose is so that medical personnel can remain mobile properly while carrying out their duties,” said Prasetia.

Prasetia ensures that TransJakarta does not reduce routes as long as the operational hours adjustments are enforced. A total of 145 routes were still served by TransJakarta during the transitional PSBB period.

“However, according to the direction of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub), Transjakarta customers are still limited to a maximum of 50 percent of normal capacity both at the bus stop and on the bus,” he explained.
