Vice President K.H. Ma’ruf Amin inspected the Swallow’s Nest (SBW) factory and had a dialogue with SBW SMEs at PT Husein Alam Indah, Jl. Raya Golokan Village, Sidayu District, Gresik, East Java, Friday (30/09/2022).
In the review, the Vice President said that the SBW industry has considerable potential. Therefore, he hopes that the SBW industry players can develop it well so that it brings benefits and benefits to the community.
“The government has a concern for advancing swallowing, both in terms of management, processing, and in terms of marketing. This is the government’s commitment,” said the Vice President, Friday (30/9).
The Vice President also appreciated the SBW industry players whose processing is not easy but can produce quality products.
“I’m happy because I can see the processing earlier, (it turns out) it’s very difficult. He said that training must be carried out so that they (workers) can (process),” he said.
The vice president also expects the young generation of productive age to have expertise in all fields, including the ability to manage and utilize the potential of SBW.
“We really want to control everything, the swallow, anything. That’s why we carry out government programs, namely skilling, reskilling, and upskilling. So that our human resources have the skills and we can take advantage of all the potential that Allah SWT has given us, including the swallow,” concluded the vice president.
Furthermore, the Secretary General of the Association of Swallow Breeders and Traders throughout Indonesia, Rosi Amsari, said that the total production of Indonesian swallow nests reached 80 percent of the total world production.
He conveyed this during a dialogue with Vice President (Vice President) Ma’ruf Amin in Gresik, East Java, Friday (30/9/2022).
“Indonesian swallow is the largest, 80 percent of the world’s swallow is in Indonesia. So the production of swallow or the largest producer of swallow 80 percent in the world is Indonesia,” he said, Friday (30/9/2022)
Rosi added that in other allied countries, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and so on, the production of swallow’s nests is only around 10 to 20 percent.
