The bustling city of Jakarta has just witnessed a historic event: the grand arrival of the cruise ship Resorts World One, marking its inaugural docking in the Indonesian capital. This landmark moment promises an exciting new chapter for luxury travel enthusiasts in the region.
Departing from Singapore on Friday, June 14, 2024, the impressive vessel set sail from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre at around 6:30 PM Singapore time. Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises, announced the ship’s significant journey: “We will be sailing tonight, carrying 3,500 passengers and crew members from Jakarta,” he stated during the official launch event in the ship’s theater on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
According to Rastri Sekar Rinukti, Head of Indonesia Sales & Marketing for Resorts World Cruises, there are still available slots for future trips on June 21 and July 1, 2024. For those looking to experience a shorter voyage, the three-day, two-night journey departing on July 6, 2024, also has tickets available.
The majestic ship measures approximately 268 meters in length and 32 meters in width, and it will make a three-day, two-night journey to the Port of Tanjung Priok Pelindo 2. This event marks the first time a cruise ship has docked in Jakarta, bringing a new era of luxury sea travel to the city.

The ship boasts 13 decks and 926 cabins, comfortably accommodating around 2,000 passengers on this maiden voyage to Jakarta. Following this initial trip, the ship will embark on another journey, this time a six-day cruise to Singapore and Malaysia, starting Sunday, June 16, 2024.
