A number of areas in DKI Jakarta experienced blackouts on Sunday (1/11). A number of points that experienced blackouts were the Condet area, East Jakarta; Makasar Village, East Jakarta; Cimanggis, Depok; Kelapa Dua, Depok; Cajuput, East Jakarta; and Gunung Putri, Bogor.
State Electricity Company (PLN) said the blackout was caused by disruption of the intermediate network in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta.
Through the Contact Center Account Twitter of PLN, @pln_123, PLN asked customers to wait because the officer was still fixing the network problem.
“Officers are still trying to handle it because there is an intermediate network disruption in the Kelapa Gading area. We apologize for this blackout problem,” wrote Twitter account @pln_123, at 13.22 WIB.
Meanwhile, General Manager of PLN Disjaya, Dody, confirmed the blackout.
“There is a disturbance in the 500/150 kV Jakarta system which resulted in a part of Jakarta experiencing a blackout. We apologize for this incident. We are currently working on an immediate recovery,” said Doddy via text message.
