The US President’s delegation arrived in Bali first to attend the G20 Indonesia Summit. They arrived early to prepare for President Joe Biden’s arrival.

Regarding security standards at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Faik Fahmi ensured that the US delegation did not have any special requests related to security at the airport ahead of Biden’s arrival.

“Everything is safe. There is nothing that we cannot accommodate. Security standards,” said Faik, as quoted on Wednesday (11/9/2022).

Faik explained that the US delegation had previously checked and coordinated with the TNI and Polri officers ahead of Joe Biden’s arrival in Bali, around November 13-14, 2022.

“We are ready to facilitate, and so far they are satisfied with what we have prepared. There is no significant concern. Everything we prepare matches their expectations,” said Faik.

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport will operate 24 hours from 12-17 November. The airport will operate on a limited basis starting from November 13 to 17.

“We have made simulations. So simulations for god’s sake plane crashes, simulations of terrorist security disturbances, including natural disasters, tsunamis, and so on,” he said.

Furthermore, the Government has also prepared a Very-Very Important Person (VVIP) room for state leaders attending the G20 Summit at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali.

In this room, President Jokowi will also present to welcome the country’s leaders.

“Today, I will detail what is at the place where the head of state is present and there may be a meeting with the President,” said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi while reviewing the VVIP room at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, Tuesday night (8/11/2011). 2022)

The room will also be inspected directly by Jokowi and inaugurated. Several notes were submitted, said Budi, which had been completed quickly and precisely.

“Indeed, the President is very detailed in giving us notes so that what is displayed at this airport must reflect local wisdom with a modern feel, because later many countries will come here, so the reflection of local wisdom remains, but the atmosphere is modern,” he explained.

‘If we see that there are white colors here, there are even paintings (around the ceiling) that we used to make soft (black and white), we make the colored carvings soft. I appreciate what Balinese architects have made by giving local touches while still showing something modern, it can be seen from the door in front, it’s very beautiful,” explained Budi.
