The Indonesian government has changed the emergency community activity restrictions (PPKM)’s implementation terms to PPKM 4th Level. This policy regulates the public transportation and domestic travel’s operation during the tightening period that will be in effect until July 25, 2021.
This is under the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) No. 22 of 2021 regarding PPKM 4th Level Covid-19 in the Java-Bali region. Meanwhile, public transportation will continue to operate with a maximum capacity of 70 percent.
“Public transportation (public transportation, mass transportation, taxis (conventional and online) and rental/rental vehicles) is enforced with a maximum capacity setting of 70 percent by implementing more stringent health protocols,” Inmendagri said.
Meanwhile, domestic travelers are required to demonstrate a Covid-19 vaccine card, at least the first dose of vaccination. This requirement applies to those who travel using private cars, motorbikes, and long-distance public transportation such as airplanes, buses, ships, and trains.
Then, people who want to travel domestically with aircraft are required to show the results of the test swab PCR H-2. Meanwhile, the people who travel by private cars, motorcycles, buses, trains, and ships shall show test swab antigens one day before the date of departure.
“The provisions referred to only apply for arrivals and departures from and to Java-Bali, and doesn’t apply to transportation within the agglomeration area, for example, Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area,” reads the third dictum letter L.
Meanwhile, drivers of logistics vehicles and other goods transportation are exempt from the provision of having a vaccine card.
