“In 2021, more than ever, we will see that the Indonesian people are looking for a path to recovery,” said Google Indonesia Communication Manager Feliciana Wienathan during a virtual press conference, Wednesday (12/8/2021).
Year in Search 2021 describes what topics are trending in Indonesia this year and have increased in a continuous period throughout the year compared to the previous year.
It should be noted that this Year in Search 2021 list is not organized by search popularity level. In the ‘Overall Trending’ category, there are topics that are generally discussed. Many Indonesians search on Google for two sporting events, the Euro Cup and the Tokyo Olympics.
On the other hand many users are searching about BTS Meal. According to Feliciana, anything related to BTS Meal is in high demand.
“BTS Meal is very varied, so it’s not only the food, but also at the announcement and also variations when the food is made into anything, made into creativity, until the packaging is too, so it’s a thing that many Indonesians talk about,” he said.
Because it is still in the pandemic period, everything related to Covid-19 is still widely searched on Google, such as the COVID-19 Vaccine, COVID-19 Prevention, Care to Protect and PPKM Extended.
