210 Tourists from China Celebrated the Chinese New Year Holidays in Bali

The Lunar New Year, which is celebrated by Chinese people around the world, festively takes place. Some of them chose Indonesia as a vacation destination. It was recorded that 210 tourists from China even came to Bali for vacation on Sunday (22/1).

They come through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport using a Visa on Arrival or VOA.

The arrival of tourists from China is expected to help Bali’s economic recovery. This was stated directly by the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster.

He hopes that their arrival will become a momentum to achieve the target of tourist visits to Bali. This year, the government is targeting 4.5 million tourist visits to Bali. Among these figures, the government is targeting as many as 280 thousand tourists from China.

The tourists from China who fly to Bali come from various cities, namely Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Chongqing, Changsha, Chengdu, Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Huaihua, Jinjiang, Nanchang, Kunming, Guiyang, Zhejiang, and Nanjing.

Then Nanning Guangxi, Beijing, Pudong, Shenzhen, Jinan, Taipei, Tianjin, Taiyuan Wenzhou, Wuhan, Weicheng District Xianyang Shaanxi, and Xiamen

Furthermore, he also hopes that the arrival of these tourists can be a trigger for other airlines to open potential routes.

He and Angkasa Pura (airport operator), are ready to fully support these operations so that all plans can run smoothly.

It is known, as many as 210 foreign tourists from China entered Bali through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport during the 2023 Chinese New Year holidays on Sunday (22/1/2023).

The foreign tourists, consisting of 191 adults, 17 children, and 2 babies, landed using Lion Air flight number JT2648 for the Shenzhen-Denpasar route.

Meanwhile, Ngurah Rai Airport recorded that the most international passengers flying to Bali in 2019 came from Australia reaching 1,241,128 people, and China reaching 1,186,057 people.
