The government has just released the latest update regarding the rules of entering the Bali area for Foreign Travel Actors (PPLN). The Covid-19 Handling Task Force has decided to implement a bubble system quarantine for Indonesian citizens or foreign travelers visiting Bali.

This provision is regulated by Circular Number 8 of 2022 concerning Health Protocols for the Bubble System Mechanism in Bali during the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) Pandemic which was signed by the Head of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Lt. Gen. Suharyanto on February 23, 2022.

Furthermore, this policy applies to PPLNs who have traveled from abroad in the last 14 days. And this applies to both Indonesian citizens and foreigners who will carry out activities with the bubble system mechanism in Bali.

The bubble system is a travel corridor that aims to divide the people involved into different groups (bubbles), by separating people at risk of being exposed to Covid-19 from the community. Accompanied by restrictions on interaction only to people in the same bubble or the same quarantine.

The government’s decision regarding the bubble quarantine system is made to minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus and the Omicron variant. This is due to tourism and several other agendas have started to open in Bali.

Furthermore, regarding the entrance to Bali, the entrance for Indonesian citizens or PPLN foreigners to enter the bubble system area in Bali can be through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali; or Tanjung Benoa Harbor, Bali.

Bubble system activities (KSB) are activities that are managed in an organized manner by the organizers with the mechanism of the system in Bali. For its location in certain areas such as hotels or ships, and other supporting facilities to carry out KSB that has been determined by the organizer.
