COVID-19 Update: Foreigners in Indonesia Tested Positive for Keeps Increasing

The number of foreigners confirmed positive COVID-19 in Indonesia continued to increase until today, October 5th, 2020. The report from the Ministry of Health shows that the confirmed case has reached up to 493. This data showed that there is an increase of 14 confirmed cases from September 20th, 2020.

While the tested negative and recovered cases also increased from 321 to 328. The number of close-contact cases of foreigners in Indonesia has reached 635. The government keeps monitoring the foreigners who are currently as COVID-19 suspects and those who had close contact with someone who tested positive.

Regarding this pandemic, the Indonesia government has helped 330 foreigners repatriated or returned to their country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs works together with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to monitor the foreigners regarding the COVID-19 cases. The Cooperation Agreement agreement of the two ministries has been signed last September 29th, 2020.
