PPKM policies level 4, 3, and 2 caused face-to-face services related to residence permits for foreigners to be suspended until August 23, 2021.
Arya Pradhana Anggakara, Head of Public Relations and General Affairs of the Directorate General of Immigration revealed, In addition to passport services for Indonesian citizens, face-to-face services for foreigners, such as residence permits and immigration status, were also stopped.
“Applications for visas for foreigners in Indonesia or onshore visas are now done entirely online,” said Arya.
He added that foreign nationals or their guarantors can apply for an extension of their residence permit or other applications online via the local immigration office email.
Applicants can also contact the local immigration office via telephone or available social media. Meanwhile, the biometric data collection process will be carried out at the immigration office after the PPKM is over.
