Qatar Airways airline presents a special vegetarian menu for travelers. This menu can be enjoyed for passengers traveling in business class.
Qatar Airways introduces its first range of vegan dishes on its à la carte menu for business class passengers on all flights. This newly introduced vegan menu uses the freshest local and international ingredients.
This vegan menu is available to all Business class passengers flying from Doha’s central airport, Hamad International Airport, as well as on selected flights on routes to Doha, Qatar.
Apart from fulfilling the increasing demand for plant-based foods, this menu is also to expand the culinary treasures of Qatar Airways passengers.
“We always try to provide an authentic experience. We are happy to add vegan dining options to our flight menu, offering lifestyle choices for passengers and giving different expectations from a five-star airline.” Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways said in his statement on Saturday (31/10/2020).
Qatar Airways’ vegan menu includes smoked moutabel, spiral courgettes or Italian eggplant and arrabbiata sauce, tofu and spinach tortellini, Asian-style barbeque tofu, noodles, leeks and shiitake, fried tofu with tajine vegetables, couscous cauliflower and kalamata bruschetta, and chickpeas flour omelette.
The Qatar airline also offers a wide selection of special dishes to meet the needs of passengers who have certain dietary restrictions. This special menu can be ordered up to 24 hours before departure.
The menu includes meals for child passengers, vegetarian food or food whose basic ingredients are not included in ingredients prohibited by certain religions / beliefs (religious meal), and food to support medical or health needs.
Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC), the exclusive catering provider at Hamad International Airport, ensures that all food served on board is cooked to the highest quality standards and uses only the freshest ingredients.
With an area of 69,000 square meters, QACC is one of the largest self-catering facilities in the world. In order to minimize contact between cabin crew and Qatar Airways passengers, meals for Business Class are served on trays rather than served at the table.
