Jazz fans across Indonesia and beyond can mark their calendars! Sthala Ubud Village Jazz Festival (UVJF) 2025 is making a comeback for its 12th edition this August. Scheduled for August 1–2, 2025, the festival will once again bring together a mix of international and local jazz talent at Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott International, nestled in the green heart of Ubud, Gianyar, Bali.
The UVJF isn’t just a music event. Over the years, it has grown into a celebration of culture, creativity, and global collaboration. This year, it’s expected to draw around 3,400 attendees—a 20% jump from last year’s festival.
As always, the setting plays a big part. Surrounded by Ubud’s lush natural beauty and overlooking the Wos River, the venue offers a calming yet intimate backdrop for two days of music, conversation, and community.
“This year, we are adapting to global dynamics. It’s a carefully considered decision—aimed at creating an optimal experience for both musicians and audiences, while also offering a more spacious and intimate atmosphere,” said UVJF Co-Founder and professional sound engineer, Anom Darsana, on Friday, July 25.
UVJF’s longstanding partnership with Sthala Ubud Bali continues this year, marking the hotel’s third time hosting the event. Since 2023, Sthala has played an important role in supporting the festival’s growth and reputation.
“We are thrilled to continue as the official hotel partner for this world-class event, the Sthala Ubud Village Jazz Festival. It has become one of the most anticipated jazz events,” said Lasta Arimbawa, Multi-property General Manager of the hotel.
He added, “As part of the Marriott Bonvoy hotel group, we consistently strive to create culturally rich and unique event experiences, and the Sthala Ubud Village Jazz Festival is something our Marriott Bonvoy members can enjoy during their stay in Bali.”
All hotel rooms at Sthala have already been fully booked for the duration of the festival, highlighting the strong anticipation from jazz lovers both near and far.
Beyond just the main event, UVJF 2025 will also include a series of jazz showcases before and after the festival dates. These performances will be held at several partner venues: The Apurva Kempinski Nusa Dua, The Meru Sanur, Bumi Kinar Ubud, and Samasta Lifestyle Village Jimbaran.

This year’s press conference of UVJF 2025 was held at Teroemboe Restaurant, located on Jalan Pantai Matahari Terbit in Sanur. With an open layout, beautiful natural surroundings, and a menu offering diverse flavors, the restaurant proved to be an ideal spot to announce this year’s lineup.
“The restaurant plays a key role in achieving that goal. We believe that exceptional food, combined with Balinese hospitality and breathtaking natural beauty, truly sets us apart,” said Lasta Arimbawa.
UVJF has long positioned itself as more than just a festival—it’s a platform for connection through music. Jazz, rooted in improvisation, dialogue, and spontaneity, naturally invites collaboration across countries, cultures, and generations.
“Today, UVJF stands as a globally recognized jazz stage—thanks to the continued support of embassies, cultural institutions, and cross-country collaborations,” said UVJF Co-Founder Yuri Mahatma.
The success of UVJF reflects more than a decade of commitment and cooperation between organizers and the broader community, both in Indonesia and abroad. Now recognized as a respected name in the international jazz calendar, UVJF continues to celebrate the spirit of unity, artistry, and shared experience.
