Indonesia has imposed restrictions on community activities since July 2021, this is due to the increase in covid 19. Especially in the Java and Bali areas. The Indonesian government implements a policy regarding the level of community restrictions from level 1 to level 4. At that level, the heaviest covid cases are categorized as level 4 and the lowest covid cases are categorized as level 1.

Bali has gradually experienced a decline in Covid cases since last July, according to September 2021 data some areas in Bali have entered level 3 and level 2 during this period of restriction. Based on this, the government plans to reopen Bali tourism.

This is also confirmed by a statement from Luhut Panjaitan as the Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister said that Indonesia’s Covid cases had decreased by 94.5 percent since July.

Luhut said “we are confident that Bali could reopened by October”. Some of the tourists who are expected to get permission to visit Bali include from Singapore, South Korea, Japan. This is based on the low number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

Several requirements are also given to tourists who will visit Bali in October, including swab tests and vaccinations. The warmth of Bali is being prepared to welcome back foreign tourists
