The National Capital Territory Authority (OIKN) is currently preparing land for use by investors in the new capital city of Indonesia (Nusantara).

The Deputy of Planning and Land of OIKN, Mia Amalia, explained that the process of preparing the land in the new capital city is being done in collaboration with various ministries, including the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the Ministry of Finance, and of course, the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR BPN).

Mia emphasized that the land acquisition process in IKN is ongoing. “Currently, the government is preparing land through the mechanism of releasing forest areas in IKN,” she said in a statement released on Friday (5/5/2023).

According to her, this step is in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 65 of 2022 concerning Land Acquisition and Land Management in IKN. Land acquisition in IKN is carried out through two mechanisms, namely the release of forest areas and land procurement.

Furthermore, the land in IKN acquired through the release of forest areas and/or land procurement will be designated as state-owned property (BMN) and/or assets under state control (ADP).

Mia added that the results of land acquisition in IKN will be granted the right to manage (HPL) to the OIKN, and specifically for land that becomes ADP, it can be collaborated with parties who will develop the area in accordance with detailed spatial planning, while land with BMN status is land used for government administration.

“OIKN understands that land to be collaborated on needs to be carefully prepared to ensure legal certainty,” said Mia.

“Therefore, the preparation process involves various agencies according to their duties and functions, as well as in accordance with good governance. Coordination with various agencies continues to be carried out so that the land supply process can be completed quickly,” she added.

This news report highlights the ongoing preparations by the National Capital Territory Authority (OIKN) to provide land for investors in the National Capital of Nusantara. The process involves several ministries, and the land acquisition is being done through the mechanism of releasing forest areas and land procurement.

The acquired land will be designated as state-owned property or assets under state control and will be granted the right to manage to the OIKN. The process emphasizes the importance of legal certainty and good governance, as the land will be carefully prepared and coordinated with various agencies.
