Prospective airplane passengers were required to pay attention to flight requirements during the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM)’s implementation to keep their flight smoothly without any problems.
The Minister of Internal Affairs’ instructions regarding the PPKM 4th and 3rd levels’ extension were issued Number 24 of 2021 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities 4th and 3rd level in the Java and Bali Regions.
The Ministry of Transportation is also following up on the Covid-19 Task Force by issuing Circular Letter (SE) Number 53 of 2021, a revision of SE 45 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for Traveling Domestic People by Air Transportation.
Flight Requirements during PPKM 3rd-4th level in Java-Bali
a. For flights between airports on Java Island, flights from/to airports on the Java Island, and flights from/to airports on the Bali Island, it is necessary to show the first vaccine card and a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results whose samples were taken within a maximum period 2×24 hours before departure.
b. For flights other than from/to airports other than those mentioned in point a, the condition is that they must show a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results whose samples were taken within a maximum of 2×24 hours or negative results of rapid antigen tests whose samples were taken within a maximum period of 1×24 hours before departure.
c. Traveling persons/passengers with the need for work activities in essential and critical sectors are required to show a Worker Registration Certificate (STRP) or Other Certificates issued by the local government or an Assignment Order from the head of an echelon level II agency.
d. Traveling persons/passengers with urgent needs are required to show a travel certificate, including, among others, a referral letter from a hospital, a cover letter from the local regional apparatus, a Death Certificate, or other certificates.
Vaccine Exceptions for Flight Requirements during PPKM 3rd-4th level Java-Bali.
The obligation to carry a vaccine certificate exempted for:
- Travelers with special medical interests who are not/have not been vaccinated for medical reasons are based on a specialist doctor’s statement.
- Patients with severe conditions.
- Pregnant women, who are accompanied by one family member.
- The importance of childbirth with a companion of a maximum of 2 people.
- Delivery of non-Covid-19 bodies with a maximum number of 5 people.
