Serpong Toll Road Has a New Route, Getting Longer!

The Serpong – Balaraja Toll Road Section 1A construction along the 5.15 Km has made the farthest point of the toll road to Serpong, South Tangerang, now increasing. It previously only reached the Rawa Buntu area, now it is connected to Legok Tangerang.

The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of PUPR in a statement quoted on Friday (8/7), on 23-24 June 2022 a Function Feasibility Test (ULF) of the Serpong – Balaraja Toll Road Section 1A for 5.15 km was carried out by the team. evaluation consisting of elements from the Ministry of PUPR, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Traffic Corps of the Indonesian Police.

Currently, the construction of Section 1A is 5.15 km long, which is connected from Serpong to the CBD Interchange (SS) which consists of 3 work packages with the overall progress of 99.23%.

The presence of this toll road supports connectivity in improving the community’s economy and the development of logistics services around the Jakarta, Tangerang, and Banten areas that are increasingly smooth.

The implementation of the Serpong – Balaraja Toll Road ULF Section 1A is carried out to ensure that all technical specifications of road requirements and equipment on the Toll Road section are following management standards and traffic safety are met properly before being ready for operation and can be crossed by the public.

“After the Toll Road Feasibility Test process is completed and the results of the inspection by the function-worthiness test team have been repaired, a function-worthiness test certificate will be issued from the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, and an operation-worthy certificate from the Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR so that this toll road is completed. can be operated according to the period of operation by the toll road operator,” explained BPJT.

The Serpong – Balaraja Toll Road is managed by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) PT Trans Bumi Serbaraja which consists of 3 sections, namely section I (BSD-Legok) for 11.3 km, section II (Legok-Tigaraksa Selatan) 10.7 km , and section III (Tigaraksa Selatan-Balaraja) 17.8 Km.

The specialty is that the Serpong – Balaraja Toll Road will be connected to several other toll roads, namely the Serpong – Ulujami Toll Road which is also connected to the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) 1 and JORR 2 Toll Roads.

The Serpong – Balaraja Toll Road will also be directly connected to the entrance to the Tangerang – Merak Toll Road which is connected to Balaraja, and will support the development of connectivity in the Kota Baru Maja area and even up to Lebak.

For information, the Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road is a planned toll road connection from the Ulujami-Serpong Toll Road. This toll road connects South Tangerang City with Tangerang Regency.
